It’s been a thrilling few months!
Since signing with Crooked Cat Books to get The Brotherhood published, I have been through the processes of editing, choosing a book cover, proof-reading, organising 2 book launches (one online and one in my local pub) and writing a sequel!
Not surprisingly, blogging has taken a back seat. Housework hasn’t really had a look in either, but that’s never at the top of the priority list.
I have somehow managed to squeeze in some reading, particularly when travelling with work. I’ve read some exciting novels by authors such as Lizzie Chantree, Val Penny, Miriam Drori, Carrie-Ann Schless, Lynn Forth, Awen Thornber and Olga Swan. There are lots of links to my favourite recent reads on my author Facebook page, so head over there if you’re looking for recommendations: Facebook/Jo Fenton – Author
Over the next few months, look out for more launch activities, lots of guest blog spots (I’ll be making more appearances on other authors’ blogs) and my own host blog page – #ThursdayThemes – is starting on 31st May with the lovely Katharine Johnson, author of The Silence, and soon to be released, The Secret.
Just in case you’re as excited as I am about the launch of The Brotherhood, I’ve added a bit of info about the book, and the link to Amazon for pre-ordering:
The Brotherhood – safe haven or prison?
After her parents’ sudden death, a grieving Melissa falls back on her faith and into the welcoming arms of a religious sect. Captivated by their leader, Dominic, she leaves her old life behind and moves to the countryside to join them.
But life in The Brotherhood is not as safe as it first appeared. When engineer Mark joins The Brotherhood, Melissa finds herself conflicted between her growing feelings for him and her crush on Dominic. With their leader’s initial encouragement, Melissa and Mark grow close.
But as her haven becomes a prison, Melissa’s newfound happiness is destroyed by Dominic’s jealousy. How can she escape and save the ones she loves?
Can’t wait to read this!
