Book Review – Hunter’s Blood by Val Penny

My Review:

Another brilliant Hunter book. Set in Edinburgh, this is a great police procedural novel with deep, well-fleshed out characters, an excellent plot and a gritty environment. This story further develops the characters from the earlier books in the series – both the protagonists and antagonists. I love the way the author creates sympathy for all her characters at times – I felt sorry for them even whilst wanting Hunter and his team to win out.

I’d highly recommend this novel – 5*

About the Book:

Mutilation and murder outrage…It’s about to get very personal for DI Hunter Wilson.

When DI Hunter Wilson learns three elderly women have died in mysterious circumstances he is horrified to realise that he is the only person who has met each of them.

As he scrutinises the evidence he concedes that he must accept help from the Major Investigation Team to solve the triple murder.

When a breakthrough comes from unlikely source , Hunter finds himself in race against the clock.

What exactly did the witness hear?

Do the victims really deserve justice? or were they targeted for their own past crimes.

You can run from your past but you cannot hide…
